Hindu Shuffling 2nd method

The first method of hindu shuffle is a well known method of card shuffling techniques, but I saw many Asian more familiar with the second method.

And I personally think this second method of Hindu shuffling technique is easier to do than the Hindu shuffle first method.

The Hindu Shuffle 2nd Method- How to

Holding position

  • The same as the first method, hold he deck face down with your right hands. But this time, grip it at the "right end" from "below" using your right thumb on the inner side - your right middle and ring fingers on the outer side - and your point finger on the right end. (see figure 1.1).
  • Then put the "left end" of the deck on your left palm. Slope it downward to your left palm (see figure 1.2).

The Movement

  • Grip the "upper part" of the deck gently using your left hand and then loose your right hand grip on "upper part" of the deck while still grip the "lower part" gently, then pull your right hand to the the right to separate the "lower part" from the "upper part" of the deck. (See Figure 2.2)
  • When the part of the deck already separated (see figure 2.2), move the "left end" of the "lower part" of the deck to your left hand palm, slope it downward. (see Figure 2.3 - 2.4).

  • Then repeat the movement again. Grip the upper part with your left hand, while your right hand draw the lower part to the right to separate it. (see figure 2.5). When it already separated, loose your left hand grip a little to drop the "upper part" of the deck to your left palm. (see Figure 2.6).
  • Repeat the movement, over and over again until all the cards held by your right hand have been shuffled off.
