Step three - Mind reading and distraction
Pretend to read the audience minds and then manipulate their mind to think that you fail to read their mind because of to much distraction.
- Take the pile of cards and ask Anne, Bob, Cindy, and Dave to think their cards, ask them to picture the cards they choose in their minds and keep concentrate on that. while they do that, see all 16 cards one by one and pretend (act) to read their minds (You can pretending reading their mind by looking deeply to their eyes and then looking the cards one by one).
- After few moments, say that to much distraction and you want them to be more focus and concentrate by seeing the cards.
Take the pile of cards and once again draw the cards from the top of that "16 cards" face-down pile, one by one to the table untill it again make 4 set of cards. But this time make it 4 set of face-down cards.
- First draw the first 4 cards one by one to each set. (See Figure 4.1 - 4.2)
Figure 3.1
Figure 3.2
Figure 3.3
Figure 3.4
- And then continue to draw "the second" 4 cards one by one (with the same sequence as your first 4 cards) to each set, so when you finished each set will contain 2 cards.
- Continue to draw the rest of the cards with the same exact sequence until all 4 set of cards has been arranged.(See Figure 3.5)
Figure 3.5
What we do in this step actually is transpose the "4-by-4 cards matrix". Turning rows into columns and vice versa. (see next page for the explanation)
