How to shuffle cards using riffle shuffle technique - "on hand" riffle shuffle

Riffle shuffle is another common method of card shuffling. There are two kind of riffle shuffle that I knew. This is the first method that called riffle shuffle on hands.

This riffle shuffe technique is look more elegant compare to the overhand shuffle. But this shuffling technique require you to "bend the cards", so I advise you, to not using this technique to rare cards because it can damage the cards.

How to do table riffle shuffle cards

This is the 2nd method of riffle shuffle cards, Table Riffle Shuffle. The basic moves of the two riffle shuffle methods are the same, the cards deck is divide into 2 piles and and then the cards been riffle so it's interleave into each other.

This 2nd method riffle shuffe technique use table or other "flat" surface to help with the shuffle movement. So this is an easier method compare to the "on hands" riffle shuffle.

Hindu shuffle is a shuffling technique that very popular in Asia. This technique is also very simple and easy to learn. As I knew, there are two slightly different method of hindu shuffling. The way you hold the deck is slightly different. The first hindu shuffling method hold the deck from above.

This is the 2nd method of hindu cards shuffling. The deck is hold from below with your right hand. I think this is an easier shuffle compare to the hindu shuffle 1st method.

How to shuffle cards using pile shuffle method.

In the pile shuffle method, the cards are shuffled by deal it into a number of piles. And then after all cards has been dealing out, stack all the piles into one. This shuffling technique usually use to shuffle rare or collectible cards, as other shuffling method may damage the cards.

How to shuffle cards using wash shuffle method.

Wash shuffle usually are used by beginner or small children that unable to shuffle the cards using other methods. The word "wash", I assume is coming from the shuffle movement that as seen as the movement when you wash a car or something. You will need a flat surface, like a table or floor to do this shuffling method. The cards are shuffled by simply spreading it face-down on the flat surface and then slide them using hands over each other, and then move and stack the cards into one pile. This card shuffle method usually also used to randomized the brand new cards that still in Ace, King, Queen .. and suit order.

How to shuffle cards using mongean shuffling method.

Mongean shuffle is performed by transfering the cards from left to right hands or otherwise in alternating top bottom sequence. So if you start with unshuffle cards in your left hands, you will start the mongean shuffle by first transfering the top card to the right hands and then continue to transfer the next cards one by one to the right hand by placing it in alternating top bottom order. Second card position will be on top of the first card, third card position will be on the bottom of first card, four card position will be on top of second card and so on.
