The Basic Concept ("The secret") of Invisible Cards Deck

The invisible decks made by sticking pairs of cards back to back, 26 pairs of cards sticking back to back. Some material used so the pair of cards sticking strong enough to be handle as single card, but also not so strong so they can be seperated by applying a light pressure.

Some arrangement needed for the magic effect. The magician that use an invisible deck must remember not only which card is paired with the chosen card, but also which way the chosen card is facing (The chosen card has to be found face-down among face-up cards). Because of that some ordering/arrangement that easy to remember must be made. Not only easy to remember but the also the less obvious so the audience do not notice that the cards were arrange in some way. The usual arrangement or order are:

  • Even and odd arrangement. The cards are pair in even and odd order. All the even facing same way, all the odd facing same way. (note: the red King are consider as odd, the black King are consider as even)
  • Spades are pairing (back to back) with Hearts, Clubs(Clover) are pairing with Diamonds.
  • Every pairing equal to thirteen. (Note: Aces=1, Jacks=11, Queens=12, Kings=13; Kings pair with Kings)

So thats make Ace of Spade pairing with Queen of Heart, 5 of Clubs(Clover) pairing with 8 of Diamond, and so on.

Invisible Deck Cards Tricks

  • Handed the invisible deck that still in the box to one of the audience, or you could place it on top of a table where all the audience can see it.
  • Ask one of the audience to think of a card, free choice.
  • For example they choose 7 Diamond, then take out the cards from the box, remember that you must take out the cards in a way which "even" cards face-up, then do subtraction (13 - 7 = 6), Diamond pairing with Clubs so you must find 6 of clubs.
  • Take the cards out, search through the deck for 6 of clubs, spread the cards as you search. When you found 6 of clubs, slowly applying the light pressure to seperate the 6 of clubs to revealing the face down card (the 7 of Diamond). Take the face-down card, place it on the table, and continue to spread the cards till the end to make the audience see trhat only one card that face-down, all others are face-up.
  • Turn over the card (7 of Diamond) and amaze the audience.
